Kundalini yoga combines chanting mantras, meditation, breath work, and movement. Traditionally you would chant the mantras without music, however listening to the sounds of Kundalini music can help you to learn the chants while also still engaging your Kundalini energy, the primal energy that sits at the base of our spine and can rise up through our chakras for a Kundalini Awakening.
The repetition of mantras can help to shift the frequency of thoughts and orient the mind during meditation. Some mantras are said to have vibrations that can stimulate and nourish chakras, or create rhythms that can help to awaken Kundalini energy.
Here are some examples of the Kundalini mantras you’ll find in the music, as well as the basic translation to better understand and embody the chants:
Artists: White Sun, Snatam Kaur, Jai-Jagdeesh
We recommend looking up the meanings of each chant to embody their essence in a more authentic, meaningful way throughout your practice.
Use these while you give it a go . . .
Use the vibration of vocal sound to move energetic blockages, create resonance within your body, and gently activate your vagus nerve to feel calm & grounded.
